Totally unnecessary. We went once to Friday morning sale after Thanksgiving a couple of years ago. NEVER again.

My best friend went once a few years back and she said an old lady punched her in the eye.

We figured we would do without the bargains.

Went to my first-ever Black Friday sale this morning at 5 at the local Sears. Doors opened at 5 and everybody was lined up and being very nice and polite. Very orderly entrance into the store. Guess we didn’t have that many Obama supporters here.

We went out a few years back,, we are in a rural area,, still had a few hundred people in line at the local WalMart,, but it was all fun,, it was more of a festive event. Nothing like this mob. People were joking and having conversations and so forth. A few people were even singing carols.
It comes down to the kind of community it is.

You could have gotten a lot of the deals online. Some of Wal-Mart’s deals were not, but others were, such as the 129 blu ray.

I got a crazy good deal on a big external hard drive on the staples website.

Me too, went one time to a sale after Thanksgiving and said never again. Trying to find parking, the crowds, finding out that the store only had 5 of the sale item and they were long gone.
