This is very much a specific cultures attitude which has been "refined" by people like Rev Wright, and race baiters like Jessie Jackson Sharpton and the democrat party.
There was a time where urban black communities had a little more integrity and self respect, and respect for others.
This is a glaring example of the effect a few decades of people like those mentioned above have had on these communities

I seriously think we are beginning to get at least a glimpse of what is involved in "community organizing."
