Hundreds of shoppers smashed through windows at a Long Island Wal-Mart early Friday morning, killing one store employee in the stampede. News' reader Nakea Augustine caught the chaotic scene on her cell phone, check out the photos.

Ironically, I went to Cabela's today and almost everyone was very polite and considerate to each other. Of course it's pretty much a big gun store ... might explain the different mentality.
This never happens with mail order shopping.

Wal-Mart doesn’t close any other time do they? Seems like closing the doors before the big sale goes a long way toward creating these situations.
I think both are guilty. Wal-Mart created the atmosphere & obviously did not have adequate security. The animals greed caused the stampede. I am quite sure that Wal-Mart has video and they can be identified.
I just wonder if any of those involved will feel guilty when the family unwraps the cheap presents this employee gave his life for.

We had a shootout today in neighboring Palm Desert where two hispanic gango-bango types happened to be "armed" and had a "dispute"......they both shot each other to death right there on the floor, wreaking havoc in the resort community. Cabela hunt shops ain't got nuffin on us!

Went to my first-ever Black Friday sale this morning at 5 at the local Sears. Doors opened at 5 and everybody was lined up and being very nice and polite. Very orderly entrance into the store. Guess we didn’t have that many Obama supporters here.

You exemplify the never, never take responsibility for your actions. How many hundreds of other businesses have had ‘black Friday’ sales and did NOT have this happen. It was a collection of un-caring herd amimals that did this act. Herd mentality, not a cold, mostly masonery store.
