Pull up her application paperwork. If she didn’t list her allergies to perfume under the “Do you have any physical or mental ailments that may affect your work performance” catergory, she doesn’t have a legal leg to stand on. Not to mention she can be fired because she lied on her application.

Not exactly,

a)She may not have been aware of the allergy before.

b)Allergies can develop over a period of time.

This may be an allergy to a scent she never encountered before

Rights for me but not for thee.

Don’t tell me that I can’t wear perfume but I’ll propose firing someone for lying on their application because they didn’t like a fragrance allergy they may not have known they had.

It boils down to one of two things:

Either the person who suffers from allergies is kept away from the source of irritation, or the person who wears the perfume is told to tone it down a bit with the perfume.
If neither party will comply, both should be fired.
