No, with all due respect, you do not.Because you call yourself "the press." If Rush Limbaugh, or any other person, were to call himself "speech," would that mean that no one else is allowed to talk? Of course not. But the Associated Press created journalism as we know it; prior to the Civil War there was no such organization as "journalism," only individual newspaper printers who would have ridiculed anyone who claimed to be "objective." "The press" is not the particular print organizations, nor the particular journalism organizations, which happen presently to exist. "The press" is the right of the people to spend money to buy (or rent) and operate a press or any other technology for publicizing opinion - whether political, religious, or other.
To call yourself, as distinct from the people, "the press" is to attempt to establish "the press" as a title of nobility entitling you to privileges not available to the people at large. And that is unconstitutional.

I understand that Linda Lingle, the GOP Governor of HI had it sealed. Why?
From what I've read, all of Obama's records are sealed, from his birth records to school records to medical records and everything else. Joe the Plumber gets publicly vetted, tarred and feathered for asking a reasonable question, yet Obama, with no more rights than any other citizen, is a complete mystery. Why?

Well, A) he isn't paying for it, the DNC or his campaign committe is. And B) politically he has no choice but to fight it. Obama, so far as he is concerned, has established his eligibility. He released his document, widely panned on the web as a fraud, I know. The state of Hawaii has said it has his original birth certificate on record. So he's done what he needs to do, from his point of view. He and his campaign consider all these lawsuits are frivilous, and will fight them on those grounds alone. And probably fight them successfully, on those grounds alone. The only way that any court will ever demand that Obama produce his birth certificate would be if someone presented hard, documented evidence that Obama was born overseas and placed the issue in real doubt. Until then it's not likely that any court will take the matter up.
The Chicago Tribune has a great ad that addresses Obama’s probable fraud re being a viable candidate re his citizenship.
