Uh, the burden of proof to establish one's eligibility for the presidency is not on the electorate. For example, when you apply for a job and the potential employer asks to see verification of your right to work, do you think you can just say, "Nope, sorry. You have to prove that I am ineligible. If you can't, then that means I am all clear based on the fact that I said so and you can't prove otherwise."

The burden of proof in the suit lies with the plaintiff. They have to show evidence that Obama isn't eligible to be president.

For example, when you apply for a job and the potential employer asks to see verification of your right to work, do you think you can just say, "Nope, sorry. You have to prove that I am ineligible. If you can't, then that means I am all clear based on the fact that I said so and you can't prove otherwise.

That's because the law requires it. The law doesn't require Obama present his birth certificate to you or me or anyone else in order to run for president.
