LITTLE ROCK, AR - Little Rock Police say they have arrested the man wanted in the beating death of Little Rock television anchor Anne Pressly.
During a 10:00 p.m. news conference Wednesday night, police issued a warrant for Curtis Lavelle Vance, 28, of Marianna, Arkansas, charging him with capital murder in Pressly's beating.
Our Little Rock sister station tells us Vance was arrested at the intersection of 24th & Cross in Little Rock.
The anchorwoman's mother found her body Oct. 20, a half-hour before Pressly was due on KATV's 5 a.m. "Daybreak" program. Pressly had been beaten about the head and upper body and never regained consciousness before dying five days later.
We are working to get more information on this story.

I don’t care about his color, race, or religion. Human debris comes in a multitude of “packages”. Its always somewhat enlightening to read comments from fellow Freepers. We should be above using such intellectually weak comments to bolster a position. If he’s guilty he should be executed. Leave the emotional name calling to those on the left.

It could just have easily been a white guy. As for racial profiling, I am 100% in favor of using this when the situation calls for it.

Gattis rape suspect jailed this month

A man charged with the second-degree rape of a then-freshman in February 2007 was arrested on the same charges Nov. 14.
Michael Burch, a Durham resident, is currently being held in Durham County Jail on $1.85 million bond, Durham Police Department clerks said.
Burch also faces charges of first-degree sexual offense and felony aiding and abetting, for crimes which allegedly occurred June 21, said Candy Clark, an administrative assistant in the Durham County District Attorney’s Office. He is scheduled to appear in Criminal District Court Dec. 8 before a grand jury.
Burch, who is not a Duke student, was arrested in February 2007 for allegedly raping a then-18-year-old freshman at around 3 a.m. Feb. 11, 2007 at an off-campus party at 405 Gattis St. The party was hosted by members of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and police had found marijuana, cocaine and Oxycontin in the house.
Burch was held on a $50,000 bond and released from jail the same day.
“The disparity between $50,000 and [the new bond of] $1.85 million is just so negligent in our minds,” the first victim’s father said Monday. “[My daughter] was validated, but unfortunately my question to the initial judges is, ‘How come my 18-year-old daughter knew better than you?’”
The victim’s father said he feels there was an injustice in the difference between the bond amount for the three wrongly indicted members of the 2006 men’s lacrosse team and Burch’s bond in 2007.
“We feel eschewed because the Duke lacrosse players had to post $400,000 and this individual had to post $50,000,” he said. “From a racial aspect, on the outside looking in, [it seems they thought] ‘four white kids from the North let’s make it $400,000 and for a black guy let’s make it $50,000.’ A crime is a crime.”

Some workers at the Hospital she was in were fired because they breached her medical records and leaked she had been brutally sexually molested beyond our imagination.
For her parents, this bitter sweet Thanksgiving will forever be the day their daughter's murderer was finally captured. As for the rest of us, we can sleep better tonight.

1. A description without hair color
2. A description without skin color (e.g. "white", "Hispanic", "Asian")
3. Lots of detailed descriptions such as what he was wearing, how tall he was, and what he was driving - but none, zero, nada, mention of skin color
4. Very often the brutal crime seems totally senseless but is against a pretty white girl or a nice white couple and there is vicious torture and rape involved

America’s Most Wanted” host John Walsh did an interview with Lisa Breckenridge after “Good Day LA” and stated that Ms. Pressly had been brutally raped and beaten to death and unfortunately here mother found her when she did not show up for work.
If the reports of the depravity of this crime are true, this woman suffered horrifically.
This crime will go down the memory hole just like the Knoxville Horror that the media refused to acknowledge.
