The population of India is no more than 15% Muslim. Of course all Muslims in India and surrounding areas are all descendents of former Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and others forced into Islam by the scimitar, high taxes, rape and so on.
Yes, this is probably true for the most part, however its been a long time since that happened, and Islam is well established as a native Indian religion now. But I digress.
This is a sad happening, but we need to remember that there is a difference between the nutball terrorist Muslims and sane and responsible Muslims.
As of 2001 the Muslim Population was 13.8% or about 130 million. The population of Muslims is growing much faster than the Hindu population.
