My Indian friends (some of whom are Muslim) living in Mumbai, Hyderbad, Bangalore and Pune tell me the populations is almost 50% Muslim, however the CIA World Fact Book only shows it as 13.4%. Regardless, that’s a LOT of people to wipe out, and would not be looked upon kindly by most people.

The population of India is no more than 15% Muslim. Of course all Muslims in India and surrounding areas are all descendents of former Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and others forced into Islam by the scimitar, high taxes, rape and so on.

That’s true, when I first saw the story I thought it was in Africa, until I noticed that the people in the video looked Indian. And I thought I was relatively well read.

Yes, this is probably true for the most part, however its been a long time since that happened, and Islam is well established as a native Indian religion now. But I digress.
This is a sad happening, but we need to remember that there is a difference between the nutball terrorist Muslims and sane and responsible Muslims.
Then I expect the responsible Muslims to step up and take a stand against these senseless atrocities. If they would do that in any sort of large numbers it would go a long way toward better relations with the rest of the world.
Our pain is for our friends and their family.
And all the innocents harmed in this horrific act of barbarism.

We have some serious family issues right now that pale in comparison to this tragedy. We remember to count our blessings and remember those who are suffering.

As of 2001 the Muslim Population was 13.8% or about 130 million. The population of Muslims is growing much faster than the Hindu population.
What makes you think they were Pakistani Muslims instead of Indian Muslims?

My wife's co-worker is in India right now, but she isn't sure where. She is hoping that her friend was not staying at a hotel but with family/friends. She sent off an email as soon as we put on the news.
Praying that your wife’s coworker is safe. What a horrific experience for everyone.
