someones going to get implicated . . . and God help us if its a nation-state (namely one the begins with a
P)
you know what . . . if this had happened 4 weeks ago, we would be calling McCain President-elect

The timing is no accident. AQ was politically astute enough to swing the Spanish election, and also to avoid forcing Bush over Kerry in 04.
This is happening on AQ’s schedule, make no mistake.

no doubt at all about that . . . if these guys are worth their weight in salt they got to know the Indians (and maybe the US, UK and Israel also due to who was targeted) are very likely going to counter, and perhaps heavy handidly; what’s the end game here? I’m with you, I don’t think this is over . . .
heightened viligance and situational awareness is going to be the name of the game for the time being
If we had a nice big list of jihad-related targets in Pak. and elsewhere handy, this would seem to be the appropriate time to take out ALL the trash we can reach, no matter how much libs whine and bleat.
C’mon GW, last chance to clean up terrorist trash....
I doubt this was al-Qaida, simply because it has nothing to do with their professed goals.
India has no troops in Iraq. They’re not pressing the Taliban anywhere.
If it were Kashmiri separatists, they wouldn’t have specifically targeted westerners. Their beef is with India, not the US or UK.
This may be a merely internal Indian thing, but the targeting of Westerners also seems to suggest that’s not right, either.
Until we learn who the attackers were, it’s going to be hard to even determine the motive.
True, they knew that terrorism would swing the Spanish voters to the liberal side, but an attack before out election would swing it to McCain.
