Strange that she, Parker, Will, Brooks and the other true “fringe” people on the conservative side can’t get over condescending to the one candidate on the GOP side who could and will continue to attract huge crowds and financial support (I raised a ton of money for McCain and I wouldn’t have given him a cent without her on the ticket). Peggy Noonan has to have someone to be condescending to because if you read her columns closely, she says absolutely nothing that makes the slightest sense. Just a lot of airy maxims from an author who is not overly bright but who needs to convince her real audience (the West Side liberals who will invite her to their cocktail parties so she can say snippy things about Palin) that she is a “deep thinker”. Her columns are frankly, terrible, and I could not put it more succinctly than a commenter here who said “she writes like she is constantly trying to balance a plate on the top of her head”.

She’s a lot like Obama in that sense.
I grew up in liberal state with liberal press only and remember Reagan being called stupid dangerous conservative Christian, and Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell were going to force us all to pray. But within 10 years I believed the opposite, that Christians were more likely to support a orderly free society than the liberals, who believe in heaven on earth from human liberal intellect and absolute power. It was really libs that want to rule us, as they accused Palin+Reagan.
Now, Washington is corrupt and corrupts republicans. It is like the Ring in Lord of Rings. Sooner or later those in Washington including press worship washington/wall street as solution, including GWB who ran as one of us. Palin is threat, not from Washington.
