Let the prosecutions begin.
And the Mormons reacted by rioting, burning down buildings and sawing peoples heads off. Oh, never mind.
Is that a hate crime?
If someone burned a Koran and dropped it off on the steps of a mosque, how long would it take the FBI to investigate?
Mostly the Mormons just want to live their religion in peace and be allowed to proselyte. The gay marriage issue was viewed as a precursor to stopping those simple activities and the article noted that liberals believe civil rights should trump religious rights. People think Mormons are pushy sometimes but even though we are teetotalers you don’t see Mormons doing Carrie Nations on bars.
This is an issue about virtue, morality and society first, religion second.
Mormons are good people and they have been treated horribly. Mitt was constantly harrassed for being a Mormon. Sickening.
Agreed. The problem is too many people think that legality now defines morality, having lost their religious anchor and scriptural definition of morality. Thus, since sodomy is now legal, it is considered moral by many, including a lot of the passive public.
They have been targeted and slandered, to be sure. This election was a tough time for the church between Romney and Prop 8. But no one said religion was a popularity contest, or at least that it ought to be a popularity contest.

Obama Says A Baby Is A Punishment
Obama: If they make a mistake, I dont want them punished with a baby.
Mormons are a well known minority group. In places where gays are a good number of the population, there aren’t a lot of Mormons.
So basically this is the height of bullying. It’s the epitome of discrimination and bigotry.
No one should live in fear of someone - not gays and not the Mormons either.

Exactly.
Our rabbi visited us today (my husband is recuperating from back surgery; he was on the table for almost 9 hours) and we talked about this. The three of us agreed that we are in the beginning of a new dark age and these attacks are a sign of it.
The next phase is Kristallnacht.
After that, the ovens.

Okay, just in case anyone (not on this ping list, I'm sure) might think - well, it's just Mormons, and they believe funny stuff - atheists and God-haters think every religious believe thinks funny stuff. And they do want to shut us all up by force. It looks as though they plan on getting more and more "in your face" and violent. Obviously they feel emboldened by 0bama.
I think it's going to get pretty interesting. Many of us will have chances to stand up and be counted, or keep quiet to avoid trouble, which we may regret later. There's a war on, and it's heating up. A war against God, against His laws - natural law - and those who serve Him, no matter how humble. I think it's time to try to put aside sectarian concerns - we can discuss theological points later.
Right now atheists and "gay" agenda radicals (among others) want to shut us up and are ramping up their hateful acts. Who is going to stand up against this?
The meteor that lit up the Northern sky recently was an omen.

Why??
No, his Mormonism didn't bother me. I was sickened that he mandated homo-marriage as the law of the land in MA - without a law enacted by the legislature. Pathetic. It's his legacy, whether he likes it or not.
