What effect do you think enacting AND enforcing a law that states that non citizens cannot receive FREE food stamps, FREE housing assistance, FREE medical services or any other taxpayer funded social service would have on prompting the 12 million illegals to go home?

The people of CA voted for exactly that a decade ago. And since a lib judge shot down the will of the people, the state is now bankrupt.

Don't you realize that they would become citizens eventually, if not now, then in a few years?

I expect to hear lots of preposterous promises about amnesty being "good" next year.

Although a 2009 amnesty would be 100 times worse, no I'm not exaggerating, than the 1986 amnesty, let's review the promises Kennedy made about that amnesty:

"First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same."

"Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset…Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [this immigration bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area."

"Thirdly, the bill will not permit the entry of subversive persons, criminals, illiterates or those with contagious disease."

Well, maybe the bill will not "permit" it, but it happened.

"No immigrant visa will be issued to a person who is likely to become a public charge."

But if they do get public money, that's just fine because it makes them more dependent on the Dems.

"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.3 million illegal aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forth an amnesty bill like this."

Some of the senate amnesty idiots last year actually repeated that promise: "Never again...." The truth is that if you allow amnesty, it encourages more illegals, and makes illegal immigration and amnesty even more difficult to stop in the future.

I haven't run across any ILLEGAL Mexican women who look like THAT. This ad looks like a ploy to get the white man to vote for amnesty

I live in Southern California. You're absolutely right. I'm always amazed at the posters (who must live in non-invaded areas) who say they welcome the illegal invasion because they think all the women will look like Salma Hayak or Jennifer Lopez. Not hardly.

Unfortunately latin american culture is infected with eastern-european philosophy (ie mild forms of marxism)...plus the bravado of the Spanish. In other words, mostly good people...but not really good thinking on the politics.
