The 72-year-old presiding elder of a breakaway polygamist Mormon sect and two other church members surrendered to Schleicher County authorities on Monday to face felony charges relating to the underage marriage of girls to older men.

Fredrick Merril Jessop, a leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, faces one count of conducting an unlawful marriage ceremony involving a minor, a felony.

According to authorities, one of his daughters was married to jailed sect leader Warren Jeffs at age 12 and is now the only child from the Yearning For Zion Ranch in foster care after her mother refused to cooperate with child welfare authorities.

Not even the FLDS is claiming the "testing" for sexual abuse you say happened. They threw hissy fits about the DNA. One would think they would be shouting from the rooftops if a more invasive procedure actually happened.

Check it out yourself: http://www.truthwillprevail.org/

A pregnancy kit can be bought OTC. One pees into a cup and dips a stick in it. Not as gory as your scenario, sorry.

No kidding. Of a five month old, no less.

I wonder if the baby has been reassigned already.

Not one of those links concerning statements about pregnancy demands that a strip search or invasive procedure was done.

X-rays for broken bones hardly qualifies as sexual in nature.

*roll eyes*

Precisely, and the MSM would not hesitate to be the instrument in those announcements.

So much for the truthfulness of your heroes the CPS.

That's funny considering the lying that occurred on the part of the FLDS throughout the whole scenario. Pot meet kettle....

They're even commanded to lie to the infidels unbelievers.

It sounds hauntingly familiar.

“The HHSC, DFPS, and STAR Health program have been working to provide for all the medical and psychological needs of these children. Arrangements were being made for medical evaluations, counseling, and whatever treatment is appropriate.”

You must have missed the Medical Evaluations part. Are you honestly trying to state that they weren't evaluated for sexual abuse. If you are, you must think the CPS are even more incompetent than I do. I am not sure that is possible.

In the letter, obtained by the Associated Press, the mothers claim that their children became sick and required hospitalization. They wrote "Our innocent children are continually being questioned on things they know nothing about. The physical examinations were horrifying to the children. The exposure to these conditions is traumatizing." FLDS and mental health workers complained about subjecting children to interrogation sessions, invasive physical examinations, pregnancy tests and complete body x-rays of their children.

http://www.wsws.org/articles/2008/apr2008/poly-a15.shtml also in Wiki under YFZ

They did scream, they called the invasive physical examinations horrifying. You are just turning a deaf ear Alice. I hope you can sleep at night.

The timeline at http://www.captivefldschildren.org/TimeLine.php also talks about the physical examinations, but for some reason I can't grab the complete excerpts : (

I find it more than ironic and hypocritical that those *mothers* were complaining about the *horrifying* events and what the children were subjected to in medical exams but not complaining about the events that resulted in the broken bones and teen pregnancies to begin with.

The adults associated with the FLDS have lied so consistently and deliberately that at this point, it's like the boy who cried *Wolf*. I don't believe them. They haven't given any one any reason to.

People engaged in pedophilia, rape of underage girls, tossing their own boys on the streets when they become competition, abuse of babies through waterboarding, complaining about sexual abuse just doesn't ring true.

If underage girls weren't pregnant, there wouldn't be the need to do a non-invasive pregnancy test. If children didn't have obvious, visually observable indicators of broken bones, there would be no need to do xrays to determine the extent of the injuries.

The FLDSers brought this on themselves by violating the laws of the state and allowing this horrendous abuse of children to continue unabated. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Because there was one underage girl who was pregnant, you would subject them all to invasive child abuse and sexual examinations? Should your children be subject to invasive medical examinations because some of their fellow students might be pregnant or abused?

The FLDSers brought this on themselves by violating the laws of the state and allowing this horrendous abuse of children to continue unabated. They have no one to blame but themselves.

So you support the State abusing these children? How sick is that.

What a nice Christian attitude : ) Unlike you, I just happen to think that getting violated twice is worse than getting violated once.

And by the CPS's own admission, they violated over 450 children who had never been violated at all. Nice to see our tax dollars at work : )

Does this qualify as getting cursed by another Born Againer? I think it does : ) That would be 9 curses by you and your fellow Cabal Members.

Before you run away, just why do you dislike the Constitution so much? Do you really believe that your religious view should trump basic rights?

Second clause pertaining to religion in the First amendment.

The Free Exercise Clause prohibits the government from interfering with a person’s practice of his or her religion. However, religious actions and rituals can be limited by civil and federal laws.

Would it be safe to say that you believe in limiting the 1st (Religious freedom), 4th(Search and Seizure) and 5th(Trial and Punishment), 6th(Right to Speedy Trial, Confrontation of Witnesses), 7th (Trial by Jury in Civil Cases), and 8th(Cruel and Unusual Punishment) Amendments?

The children were seized without the right to a jury trial or to confront witnesses and they were subjected to cruel and unusual punishment (penetration with an object is a felony).

Is there any part of the constitution you support, except maybe the 2nd amendment? Or should nut cases like you be prevented from owning guns. I would certainly feel safer.

Would it be safe to say you're for allowing parents, relatives, friends, etc to have sex with under aged children, to hide evidence and lie to inquiring authorities, to threaten those who disagree, and to hide it all behind a false religion with a false prophet?

After all, that is what we're discussing.

END Discussion Gee, does any of that fall within the Constitution?

No, of course not.

to hide evidence and lie to inquiring authorities,

Under the Constitution we have no obligation to tell authorities anything. I know you don't agree with the 5th amendment, but I happen to value freedom.

to threaten those who disagree,

No that is called assault, and the CPS and police officers should be arrested for it.

and to hide it all behind a false religion with a false prophet?

Yes that is what the First Amendment is all about. I vehemently disagree with many of your beliefs but I believe you have the right to be an idiot if you want to.

END Discussion Gee, does any of that fall within the Constitution?

Most of it.

I don't like CPS at all. However when it comes down to finding out who has been having sex with a minor I am for the exams. If the girls refuse to talk then you have to examine them.

I had my first pelvic exam as a teenager & I was not screaming over it nor was my brain twisted from it. My mother thought about my health & so I went & got one. I don't see the big deal in getting one & when my daughter was a teenager she got one & when Sassy is a teen she will get one too.

I don't like the fact that these men think they can have multi wives & marry underage girls. Or follow a leader who tosses teenage boys away because the young girls might want to marry them instead of the old goats they are forced into marrying. I don't agree a leader should toss a man out & give his family to another man. It is against the law & it should be IMHO. I sleep very well at night too as I am sure the others who find this practice wrong do also.

That just makes me nauseous. If you refuse to talk, you should be examined? Do you know how many of your rights that violates?

It was your decision wasn't it? Do you know the difference between being raped and making love to someone? I didn't think so.

I agree completely.

It is against the law & it should be IMHO.

So you advocate violating hundreds of innocent children, knowing that the evidence can't be used to prosecute the guilty parties? What kind of sick, perverted logic is that?

I sleep very well at night too as I am sure the others who find this practice wrong do also.

You do know that they returned the children to those people don't you?

Yes, I do know that the children were returned. Yes, I know all too well about being molested by an uncle.

As for this..... Do you know the difference between being raped and making love to someone? I didn't think so.

I think you are pretty twisted. You know nothing about my sex life & it is none of your business either. In fact I wonder if you know what rape or being molested even is or what it does to you.

I believe that polygamy is totally wrong & I think these pervs need to be in jail.
