Republican State Party Chairman Chris Healy announced his endorsement of fellow State Party Chairman Saul Anuzis today in a letter to RNC Members, according to the blog on the Anuzis for Chair official blog.
As the leader of one of the biggest, best run, most transparent and most technologically savvy state party organizations in America, he is a perfect fit to take on the challenge of leading the RNC. Sauls vision of putting new social marketing techniques and communications tools to work, bypassing the media, engaging both donors and voters and mobilizing the grassroots is exactly what our party needs to compete for young voters and others, as over 70% of Americans now depend on the Internet for information.
The endorsement is the first of its kind in the current race for RNC Chair, though it is still early in the process. Chairman Healy was joined by fellow northeastern Chair Tom Wilson of New Jersey, Sue Lowden of Nevada, Mark Quandahl of Nebraska, and Herbert Schoenbohm of the Virgin Islands.
My apologies, but who are these people?
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
State GOP Chairmen. Chris Healy is the head of the Connecticut Republican Party; the others of their respective State Parties. I believe they have a vote in the RNC election.
New Jersey? Michigan? sounds like a stampede of RINOs to me.....I say no.
Note to FNC and AM talkies:
Chris Healy, who is he, is he fit? need interviews.
Hopefully so, and if so, I’d support him. (I got 11 dollars in my pocket right now).
What did he do to devastate the Michigan Republican Party? Is it a situation like comparing the Party Chairman is Wyoming to the one in Massachusetts? Michigan is a tough state for the GOP; what could he have done differently?
My thoughts exactly. As I seem to recall, Obama carried Michigan by 10 points, and the race for that state was over in September. Additionally, the GOP has been unable to beat such Democratic mediocrities as Jennifer Granholm and Debbie Stabenow. Meanwhile, the state is bankrupt, but it keeps getting “bluer” every election cycle.
And this makes Mr. Anuzis qualified to lead the national party?
“Michigan is a tough state for the GOP; what could he have done differently?”
Not promote every stupid freaking RINO that came down the pike!
Stupid people! Will they ever get it right?
Steele is the man!
From everything I have heard, the party in Michigan is in a mess. They have made a lot of bad choices.
It seems as if the Republican Party Machines have pretty much melted away everywhere. They used to have machines to match the Dem Machines. The Nassau County Machine imploded. The Illinois and Michigan machines appear to have lost their knack of balancing the Dem city machines. The upstate NY machine has lost control over the Senate.
It’s damned hard to win elections when only one side knows how to cheat, to put it bluntly, if only to stop the other side from cheating. The Dems fight and cheat, the Pubbies wring their hands, so naturally the Dems win.
We need conservatives in these jobs, but we also need COMPETENT POLITICIANS. I’m not sure if Steele is politically shrewd enough for the job. You need to be an organizer. But I doubt whether Anuzi is the guy for the job.
Hell, if we’re so anxious to see the party die, just turn it over to Slick Willard, he’ll bury it in under 2 years, tops.
The grass-roots party faithful want Steele!
This could be interesting, but how about in the future putting the name of the state in the title, like this
(New Jersey)
- if that’s what state it is.
Saul Anuzis is no RINO and would make a very capable RNC chair!
SDal did not do a good job as party chair in Michigan. Places that normally go Republican went Democratic this election. OH and he let McCain pull out of Michigan. Nope not the right choice. We need a “Lee Attwater” as national chair.
There was a blog at Human Events yesterday that talked of a rumor that Ken Blackwell may be interested in joining this race.
John McCain is the only man who can be elected, because he will draw the independents, and Hispanics.
According to “Human Events”
...A devout Roman Catholic, he is strongly pro-life, but also opposes the death penalty...
I favor the death penality but his position won’t have any affect on it.
He isn’t making laws or voting on them.
For those who wanted a Pure conservativ and didn’t vote for McCain, now have their man Obama.
