WOW!!!

I can honestly say that today I have learned something pretty fundamental here in the FRee Republic. Thanks for posting!

As a foreigner I had always thought that America’s treatment of Cuba since — what was it? 1962? — was anally retentive and way over-the-top. And I had also always viewed Che Guevarra as some bad-head communist hippie from Latin America that smoked too much dope and caused ructions in South America, until he got bumped off by his own mates...

...and today I find out that in actual fact, he was more like the Beatles-era Osama bin Laden and that he had hatched a plot with the Cubans to incinerate thousants of you Yanks in New York City!!!

Suddenly a whole bunch of pieces clicked together: they don’t teach this stuff to foreigners (or probably even to American kids these days) so of *course* Che Guevarra is perfect for wearing on a tee-shirt as some sort of icon-of-rebellion.

No wonder you Yanks hate the guy: he was a terrorist that tried to kill American women and children. He didn’t just talk about it, he actually gave it a go. And no wonder you isolate Cuba: they are a terrorist rogue nation.

CLICK.

Thanks for the education. I bet there are millions of people in the Western world who do not know what I just learned today.

Diehard my FRiend and Brother, I remember from my history classes that when Nikita Khrushchev was running the show in Moscow, that he often said that "Berlin was a bone in his throat", because the Soviets despised the fact that deep inside East Germany, their vassal state, was a small island of freedom comprised of the combined British, French and American sectors of the former German seat of government.

In that same vein, closer to home, it has always been inexplicable to me why we tolerated the presence of a Soviet client state 90 miles from our shores, why we agreed NOT to invade or destabilize Cuba at the conclusion of the missile confrontation of '62.

Every conservative Republican I've ever heard of has always paid lip service to the Monroe Doctrine, but damn few have ever put their money where their mouth is, and even the Gipper himself confined his anti-Communist operations to Central America and Grenada. That Communist butcher Castro was there in Havana when Reagan was sworn in, and he was still there on the day Reagan turned over the keys to the White House to the first RINO-Bush to royally screw things up.

Now we have Raoul Castro running the day to day oppression while Fidel sits on his fat ass like some kind of latter day Communist Frank Sinatra/'Chairman of the Board', while the leftists and their toadies all worship and idolize that bearded sonuvabitch as if he were a great humanitarian. Orwellian does not even begin to describe the spectacle.

I have a close friend who was 4 years old when the Revolution came to town and he told me about how his family had to flee their home amidst bullets and bricks flying from the Communists and they were fortunate enough to make it to Miami where they had family waiting for them. Others were not so lucky. My friend agonizes even today over how the United States stood by and let Castro and his Soviet handlers seize control of his country, and did nothing.

In supreme irony, almost 50 years later, the effin Commies have done it again, as Comrade 0bama and his politburo prepare to institute their own brand of 'regime change' in Washington, and the leftist thugs and goons are prancing in demonic, orgasmic delight.

Welcome to the United Soviet Socialist States of America.

God help us all.
