WELL, the election has come and gone, and we have our first African-American president. The entire country - if not the world - has been whipped into a frenzy of hope and enthusiasm. A combination of money and the media pushed a man into office we hardly know. You'll excuse me if I don't share in the excitement.
--snip-- So intense that people who supported the president were embarrassed to say so.
We skulked around like common criminals, keeping silent when we should have spoken up, while the country did everything it could to undermine the presidency. Well, it's time to put things into perspective

It is too late to solve the problems we face politically. The country has been split into two camps over issues and world views that cannot be compromised. Just as the in 1850s, we are heading for war.
See # 60...
Exactly! He is the PRESUMPTIVE president elect, PPE.
Another FReeper came up with a wonderful acronym that equals ARSE. Wish I could find it or remember the FReepers name.
Well stated.... these last 8 years will soon be looked upon as the good-old-days! The abomination that Obama and the dems will leash upon this country will take decades to rectify.
Well, I hope that they get their just deserts from Bambi!
Bump a good Op-Ed letter.
No, I was referring to how the homosexuals are like an ecclesiastic cult...
Thanks for posting this. As I read the hateful comments in the Philly paper, attacking Wendy, I remembered the ‘Confessions of an Obama Blogger’.
There are hundreds of Bloggers out there whose sole job it is to find articles like Wendy’s and to discourage people like Wendy and to make her think she is the only one out there.
I almost left a comment, but decided that I didn’t want that paper to have my data.
At least there will be lots more trees in four years, they certainly won't be felled to make paper for Obama’s list! The list might even make the list of the world's shortest lists.
‘...I am totally befuddled as to the hatred directed at this man...’
imho, the hatred stems from George W. Bush genuinely being a man of faith and (even when not agreeing with all of his positions/policies) a man of courage who genuinely loves America. W’s integrity and willingness to make unpopular decisions made the Dims/liberals (many of whom lack integrity) look bad soooo they were ruthless in their unending attacks on him......and, sadly, many people bought into the propaganda.
bttt
I was thinking of a list of things he does that we do not support. . . like if he makes ANWAR a national monument so there would be no oil drilling there.
It would be more appropriate to remove the “0” (zero) keys....
Oops, goodbye trees!
The Carter administration will soon be looked upon as the good-old-days.
LOL!
