I’ve been shopping on Black Friday twice - once with my dad, we got an ultra-cheap printer at Best Buy and some other necessary computer hardware for a good deal. Last year, I went to the local mall with my roommate, and it was interesting... I didn’t find much of anything worth buying, except getting a bunch of DVD’s for something like $2 each at Best Buy.

This year, I’m going to be working, and NOT looking forward to dealing with the crowds =( Afterwards, I’ll stop by the only store around that carries jeans in my size (which is uncommon enough that they wouldn’t even sell out on Black Friday), check out any bargain DVD bins I run across, maybe look at the bookstore, and then go home.

Shopping? It’s been long done, and the stuff is wrapped, just waiting to be mailed.

We buy stuff all throughout the year when we find it & recognize it as something unique & appropriate for a particular individual.

It’s then put in the birthday, Christmas, or anniversary bins, then wrapped and sent when the time comes.

It prevents binge spending, and also guards against fad buying or sending someone their 8th duplicate whatever.

I’m waiting another week, and then I think I’m going to buy my wife a car company.

:-)

I’ll probably go out, but I have tried to do the majority of my shopping already. It is a great day for people watching, though!

I always go Black Friday shopping with both of my sisters. I think it helps staying in a group keeps the crazies away. I don’t shop for other people though all of the nieces and nephews are too old for toys so we just give the gift no one ever returns, money. :) I will go to Joann’s because I still have a $25 giftcard from last Christmas that I forgot I had and with the notions wall 50% I can stock up on needles and other things I always need. Then we will hit a local dept store for their linens. I can get very plush bath towels usually $4 each or less. We’ve been married long enough that some each year need retired and replaced. Probably hit Walmart too. They’ve got some really good prices. Since they open first might be the first place?

I will be spending my Friday at my parent's house in Florida, enjoying their company.

In the meantime, I have been surfing the net for bargains.

My kids and I are going to the store and I’m buying each one of us a gun and ammo. The first for all of us! Plus, I’m paying for gun instruction for each of us!

Narses, or whomever: I have a coupon for Free Shipping from Lands End if you would like to use it. It expires Dec. 2nd! No minimum purchase, they have good quality clothing, geared toward preppy and practical, not high-fashion. Very easy to make exchanges and returns, good company. Check out the “overstocks” section for bargains. The website is LandsEnd.com. You would set up account with your name, shipping address, etc, then at check out, in upper right corner click “USE PROMOTION CODE”. Type the word “POLAR” and the PIN “4581” and the shipping fee will be deducted. Hope someone can enjoy this, it’s only a one-time use (I think).
