Roughly akin to “Terminally ill patient does not see death as viable option”
And in fact if you think about it, it’s neither viable nor optional (and I’m afraid that goes ditto for GM).
You took the words right off of my keyboard.
Regards,
Watch about every 6 months for many years their hand will be out again. Mismanagement and the unions have destroyed this industry and will never come back since the problem will never be solved. Unions that were allowed to become so powerful that they literally run the business will drain the life blood out of the cost of the products they sell.
Naturally according to the AP it is slumping auto sales which have caused GMs problems. No mention of the outrageous union contracts which have made the company non-competitive with the non union Japanese! Good thing for the left that news has nothing to do with facts or truth!
HA HA HA HA
How cute!
They think they still have “options!”
Trial balloon.
I think many parties are considering options which they have denied, examples:
-Obama operation denies researching a prepackaged bankruptcy
-GM denies discussing ch11
-others of Detroit 3 deny looking at ch11
In every case, I do not believe them. I think after dec 8 if they get no bailout, GM will be in court for ch11 the next day, probably with Obama’s prepack. And Ford and chrysler will be there too.
Bet the board would look at it as a viable option if they didn’t own a bunch of stock in GM awarded for their service on th board.
Not to mention, Golden Parachutes.
