PRESIDENT-ELECT Barack Obama is executing the pirouette familiar to politicians who inveigh against Washington: First you run against its insiders, then you hire them. During the campaign, the candidate made some overly broad promises about ejecting lobbyists from the government Now, as president-elect, he is trying to adjust those declarations to the reality that an absolute ban on lobbyists would be both unnecessary and self-defeating.

My favorite part:

"Now, as president-elect, he is trying to adjust those declarations to the reality that an absolute ban on lobbyists would be both unnecessary and self-defeating."

Oh, NOW they tell us it was impractical of Obambi to pledge that, but not at the time he was doing so.

The fools were the people who bought what he and MSM was selling. Anyone with half a brain should have known he wasn't going to do what he promised. As soon as there was no advantage to public financing he jettisoned it, exactly what he said he wouldn't do. People have no excuse and can't claimed they were duped. It was in their face and they just kept on cheering...

Oh, they can and do claim whatever they wish.

A client told my husband:”Why is everyone criticizing 0 when he isn’t even in office, yet? It really isn’t fair.”

The DBM, Wapoo included, didn’t care before and don’t care now about anything Obama says. If they did, he wouldn’t have been elected.

It’s all about image, style, coolness. It’s about the way he says things, not what he says. Hillary nailed it when she listed all her experience, then said that all Obama had was a “speech he gave in 2004”.
