Even the depression had an ending.

Yes...World War II!

What this article addresses is the need to create a climate of trust again.

Once trust is lost, it is very difficult to replace.

A government hell-bent on robbing producers to pay-off loafers won't get the job done.

Sorry, the depression did not end with ww2. Times were so bad during the war you couldn't even buy a rubber inner tube for a bicycle. You had to put a 'gasifier" on the front of your car to make wood gas to drive your car anywhere, because there was no gas. There was not a scrap of spare steel to be had, no cars being made for the general public.
There were food shortages, leather shortages, even textile shortages. practically everything that wasn't nailed down was used for the war effort.

The depression ended AFTER the war, and even then it took a few years before people could feel their lives improve.
