I agree with some of your points. I was even excited about Palin and still like her, but she just needs a huge education and fast. She can do it as she has plenty of time (well 2 years). Romney is a bit stiff but when he gave that speech at CPAC everyone was moved and excited about him. Of course that was the day he selflessly left the trail. Not like Huckster who lingered as the laughing stock he is.

"but she just needs a huge education and fast."

Well, perhaps she is a bit too trusting, I'll give you that; but I think you are basing that statement on the fluff interviews with couric and the press.

Sarah is very smart, and knows a lot more than has been publicized by the press. The MSM is trying to "Dan Quayle" her by still repeating the "Africa/Continent" gaff - which wasn't true as admitted by people who were in the room when the incident took place.

And people are still appalled at the clothing bill thing, even though she had nothing to do with that either.

My reaction is for the democrats and the press (and the mclame and romney camps) to get out of the way and let us see just how much she does know.

From her record in Alaska, she seems to be a force with which to be reckoned...but we won't hear much about that.

Obama heard that in all 57 states he visited, and per Token Joe Biden, Roosevelt announced it on TV back in the 30's.
