His followers are probably way too lazy to keep this up.

No they are not. At least the ones who have already volunteered are not. I know some of these people. The have a Messianic fervor that you have to witness to believe. They will do this thing.

-I hate to disagree with you on this but I think MartinStyles is right. The objective was to elect a black hope and change type to say, “We did it.” Now, they want their hope and change like he promised with whipped cream and a cherry on top. He has already hinted that it’s not coming in the “tame expectations” language that come out on Thursday of this week. The most motivated among the Obama folks were the furthest left. They are already grousing about Hillary being SOS, Gates staying at DOD, Emmanuel, Richardson, continuing the war presence etc. etc.

By February, these folks will be saying Obama can go F*** himself as they hit the unemployment rolls. The donations are drying up. The interest is already beginning to wane and the biggest problem with Obama’s campaign is already starting to emerge: Assembling voters based purely on patronage, radical leftism and entitlement makes for an angry mob when you screw them and don’t deliver. Obama has one consistency. He leaves as quickly as he gets folks to believe in his Dream and when he’s done using you, he has a hard time remembering your name.

The pitchforks and torches will be circling the White House by Summer 2009. There’ll be no grassroots re-education in the old town tonight.
