Huckabee is a disaster. I can’t even stomach watching the guy on his Fox show. He gave us McCain, that should be enough to dispel him from all future consideration.

We must remember, while she is loved by the rank and file, she is feared by the upper echelon and jabbering class. These RNC types must be thwarted at every turn even to the point of third party rumblings and withholding funding.
We cannot be rolled again.

The campaign against Palin is swinging into full gear:

-- potentially freezing Palin out from going to GA to campaign for Chambliss
-- the fiasco at the Republican Governors Conference
-- MSM comments like from the Washington Post this morning:

"Palin is also VERY lightly regarded by many of the opinion leaders and establishment types within the GOP, making it tougher for her to command a leading role."

The nameless, faceless cowards in the GOP are her biggest threat, not the MSM or the Democrats.

If they freeze her out I will have no choice but to change from and R to an I.

Palin walked over hot coals during the campaign and only got stronger. She connects and she’s authentic. Palin in 2012.

Eh, I’ll stick with Rass’ polls. He was accurate in the last few elections. Gallop not so much. The Palin number is about the same as he had. the Romney and Huck numbers vastly inflated over Rass’ poll. The one constant remains Palin’s enduring popularity. Which really means conservatism’s enduring popularity as that is what she’s represents to the base right now. And of course the RINO’s and establishment remain at resentful odds with the majority that supported them.

Palin, Jindal, Cantor. The troika of young Reagan Conservatives.

Huckabee is a disaster.

Agreed. In any other state but Arkansas, he'd have been just another carnie working the midway instead of governor. Let him go back to deep-frying small critters.

Regardless of what any of us thinks about these folks, the fact remains that both Romney and Huckabee proved in the primaries that they couldn’t even beat a weak field of primary candidates. The GOP should try someone new, who has the potential to unite the party.

Palin will be back. Mark my words. And the media gate keepers don’t realize yet that no matter what they say, they can’t keep her out of the mix.

I really like Sarah Palin, but the media is going to spend the next 4 years trashing her reputation, and when they’re done, sadly, she may not be electable. But all of this obsessing over Palin by the media and the dems can be useful to the GOP.

I don't want to see another Bush even near The Oval Office in my lifetime. That family will forever be known for the major role it played in bringing Reagan's and Gingrich's conservative revolution to a halt.

$20 says the MSM and the democrats pick Huckabee to be the GOP candidate in '12.

“Given Romney’s background and his recent anti-Michigan/Big Three comments”

So you favor the socialist bail out of the UAW?

LOL. Sums up the Huckster for me. That the presstitutes kept him alive for so long in the primaries was a good sign he is a loser for the GOP...

And I wager Huck’s the one the MSM and democrats will pick for the GOP in ‘12.

Too soon to say.

We are going into a no-holds-barred fist fight with the Dems and its already started. Everything is at stake. And our fighters will soon reveal themselves, guaranteed, and so will our weasels. That also is a guarantee.

I’m not going to predict today who are our street-fighters. If we’re lucky enough to have any it will be obvious very soon. It will be just as obvious pretty quick if we don’t have any. Guns, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, freedom to raise your own family, the constitution, stuff you never thought you’d have to fight for in America we’re going to have to fight for repeatedly over the next 4 years.

Anyone “applying” for the job of leader in this kind of brawl is no leader. Your leader is the guy with the busted knuckles who is wading in for more. The weasel is the bipartisan sitting on the side-lines wishing the party weren’t saddled with so many stubborn know-nothings.
