Well, God bless this Frenchman.

To hear the Brits tell it (at least one's I've heard), American soldiers are best at accidentally shooting & bombing themselves and their allies.

Sarkozy might be President but they are still French.

Question: how do know a French rifle?

Answer: never been fired and only dropped once.

I read the enire thing, and there is one funny part where he describes American breakfast food. He mentions creamed, peppered, salty, dried beef on salty dough balls. I had no idea what he meant, until someone pointed out it was biscuits and gravy !

Actually he liked the food a lot, even the MRE's.

All, this is a must read! It is amazing that the French Soldier is more appreciative of our Troops than about 50% of the country. You will truly enjoy this read. : )

God Bless each and everyone of our Troopers and their families.

Certainly the French left can be despicable

The key is "left". They aren't any nicer when they are home-grown american left.

Fantastic. My daughter performed with her band at a Country music festival in France this summer. The people were generous, friendly and helpful. My daughter spoke all the French she could, which is not much. This was in the Rhone-Alpes region. The only negative experience was haughty restaurant staff in Lyon.

Thank you for posting this so much! I went to Italy this summer, and I met a historian for a class. I ended up pointing him towards her because he was such a Conservative. He help me understand that not all Europe is as liberal as it's portrayed. This is just more confiramation (or atleast smarter than I thought)

A passing American helicopter stops near a stranded vehicle just to check that everything is alright; an American combat team will rush to support ours before even knowing how dangerous the mission is - from what we have been given to witness, the American soldier is a beautiful and worthy heir to those who liberated France and Europe.

To those who bestow us with the honor of sharing their combat outposts and who everyday give proof of their military excellence, to those who pay the daily tribute of America’s army’s deployment on Afghan soil, to those we owned this article, ourselves hoping that we will always remain worthy of them and to always continue hearing them say that we are all the same band of brothers”.

A French soldier speaks about American combat troops...ping
