As the stock market tanked throughout the fall, a growing chorus of conservative pundits speculated Romney would have boosted the GOP ticket considerably more than Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin did.

It doesn’t matter whether the primaries are open or closed. Last Jan., too many candidates quit the race too soon. Ex-Sen. Thompson, Rep. Hunter, Rep. Tancredo, and ex-Mayor Giuliani quit the race after about five states held primaries or caucuses, and they didn’t know the views of the voters, in about 45 states. They should have stayed in the race longer, to ensure that the nomination process would take longer. The Republicans would have received more publicity. We knew, in March, that McCain would be the nominee, and the reporters mainly talked about Barack and Hillary for the following three months. In Nov. 2011, we should ask all of the republican presidential candidates to continue campaigning until May or longer.

Don’t forget that a Romney will not get any respect from our troops.
Have Mitt run as President and to please the Sarah fans make her VP. Sarah served her purpose. Mitt has the knowledge - he KNOWS CAPITALISM. His wealth attests to that. I am in agreement with Mitt that there should be NO bailouts. Like any other company let them file for bankruptcy and reorganize. This bailout is only payback to the unions and more will be needed down the road since the ROOT problem is not being addressed.
As for Sarah, let her bone up. Her initial interviews and debate were not impressive. Her accepting the nomination speech was good. She has potential. She has the right ideas - let her grow but certainly we need a seasoned person to do the leading.

The only strategy that FLIP Romney represents as the nominee, like McLame, is a path to CONCESSION SPEECHES.
Unfortunately the party has been willing to accept big spending, big government candidates soley because they don’t support “baby killing.” And look how far those single issue primary voters have advanced the ball? Babies are safer for now (thank god) but we’re quickly becoming a socialist nation.
No more liberal “republicans.” Please.

No shame ... Romney and his FAMILY live their conservative values. There is no “baggage” there or absentee parenting going on in Mitt’s family.
I was particulary impressed that as much as Mitt disagreed with McPain, he again used his OWN MONEY and flew around to SUPPORT McPain who he disagreed with on many issues. Mitt put COUNTRY FIRST. Mitt put aside his pride and chose the lesser of the two evils.
What I think is a shame is idiots that don’t like the truth about him.

I’m not going to fight to give a tax cut to people who want abortion and special gay rights. America doesn’t deserve prosperity if has no soul.
The media had plenty of help from “conservatives” who were more concerned about stupid crap like name recognition, electability, charisma, etc. And not enough concern with conservative principles.
Worse yet it looks like morons are ready to do it all over again despite the fact that they got all they wanted in the last election, never mind the fact they lost.
On name recognition. Lets not forget that most of us had never heard of Sarah Palin until a few weeks before she was chosen for the VP slot and that unknown is what carried John McCain as best she could.
CNN found a republican that they like.You mean another republican that they like. McCain was the other one, look how that went.
