Whereas, by requirement of the United States Constitution, Section 2, Article 1, no one can be sworn into office as president of the United States without being a natural born citizen;
Whereas, there is sufficient controversy within the citizenry of the United States as to whether presidential election winner Barack Obama was actually born in Hawaii as he claims;

Anyone who signs this stupid ass petition at World Nut Daily deserves what they get...hundreds of email spams after WND sells your eddress about a thousand times.
BTW - If you do sign, you’re eddress will be considered AAA gold because someone dumb enough to believe this is anything other than an eddress mill operation is dumb enough to contribute to every conservative rip off that comes down the pike.
So far 488 idiots have fallen for this most basic of “email-mill” operations, the so called “Petition to Congress”.
Don’t be 489.
If this had merit and got to SCOTUS, they'd just bounce it because cancelling the election results would be "harmful to the nation" or whatever.
And that's IF this had any merit.
I despise WND and newsmax. like I always say “sometimes conservatives are our own biggest enemy”
exactly. This election is over.
Sometimes I can’t tell the difference between some liberals and conservatives, they are two sides of the same coin.
The only thing that changes is the ox being gored.
It will be over if they can show he wasn’t born in Mombasa, period! No proof of being born in America, he’ll not be the 44th!
“eddress” sounds really lame.
Please excuse my ignorance, but if Obama was born to an American citizen, why would it matter where he was born?
It gonna be harmful no matter what. Let's just face it.
The Constitution requires that he be a natural born citizen, not just a citizen.
I am unaware of the petition, and I do not intend to sign it. However, I think you are being a bit too harsh with WND. I realize that they occasionally run a seemingly kooky article or two, but they also run some great exclusives and some fabulous editorials.
I don’t know whether Obama’s is a natural born citizen or not, but I do think we should know the truth. If he is not, then he should be ousted and exposed as the phony he is. After all, he should have known from the start whether he is Consitutionally eligible or not, and if he ran knowing that he was not eligible, what does that say about him?
And if he is ineligible but is still allowed to become President, the public should be reminded of that fact every single day of his presidency. If you think we should just “forgive and forget,” then you have little regard for the Constitution — and you are willing to squander a rock-solid case that he is illegitimate. In that case, what the hell are you doing here on FR?
Someone here on this thread suggested that conservatives who are willing to pursue this matter are no better than wacky leftists. I beg to differ. Conservatives who want to simply ignore a potential major Constitutional violation are flakes who are unwilling to fight for anything. If only conservatives would fight as hard for their legitimate issues as leftists fight for their wacky ones, maybe we would get somewhere.
Please read my post number 15. Thank you.
Please excuse my ignorance, but if Obama was born to an American citizen, why would it matter where he was born?
“However none of this matters since he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961 at 7:24 P.M.
Hes a native born American citizen.”
Excuse me for asking, but just how do you know this? My understanding is that he has never publicly released a regular birth certificate showing where he was actually born.
I’m not claiming that you are wrong. I just suspect that if you are right, it’s nothing more than a lucky guess.
We can and should do better than guessing.
If it turns out that Obama is Constitutionally ineligible to be President, this matter goes beyond whether he actually becomes president or not. Some here seem to think that he will become president anyway and his eligibility will be completely irrelevant at that point. Not so. If he assumes the presidency illegitimately and the public knows it, his “mandate” will be weakened dramatically.
Bob J seemed to be suggesting earlier on this thread that conservatives who wish to pursue this issue are no different that leftists who consider Bush’s election in 2000 was illegitimate because he lost the popular vote. Nothing could be further from the truth. Bush won in the Electoral College — which is specified in the Constitution. So Bush won *according to* the constitution. If Obama is not a natural born citizen, he will have won in clear *violation* of the constitution. Anyone who cannot see the distinction there cannot be too bright.
