Is Obama a U.S. citizen?

Actually, we do not know for sure.

If his mother allowed the adoption to Lolo Soetoro and his loss of any US citizenship at that time, since there is NO Dual Citizenship for him to fall back on when he returned to the States, he is still an Indoesian Citizen. Possibly in the USofA ILLEGALLY.

If he was really born in Kenya, he was a British Citizen and not a US Citizen due to the Constitutional Regulations in effect when he was born in 1961. He admited to "losing his Kenyan citizenship" when Kenya became a Country free of British rule but that could be a lie IF Lolo Soetoro actually adopted him, Obama lost any Kenyan connection because Indonesia doesn't recognize dual citizenship.

The Bottom Line is that Barry Dunham Soetoro (how he was registered for school in Indonesia and Lolo Soetoro had no reason to lie) was listed as an Indonesian Citizen when he was a child living in Indonesia. There is NO record of his ever reclaiming US Citizenship.

Obama claims he was a Constitutional lawyer and taught Constitutional Law. He must not have READ the Constitution or the Federalist Papers because he was too busy reading Marx and Alinsky.

His Team mentioned that there was something in his Vault (Long) Copy of his BC that would "embarrass" him. My contention is that it's one or more of the following: 1- He's NOT a US Citizen; 2- There's no father listed or the father listed is not Obama Senior; 3- His name is not Barack Hussein Obama, he made that up to impress college age girls; 4- Since Kenyan Arabs are considered Caucasoid (and not black), then his RACE may be listed as Caucasian. http://racialreality.110mb.com/subraces.html

I doubt that last one will sit well with Blacks in the USofA. Jessie Jackson had the right idea.

Actually, we do not know for sure.

We do know for sure that Obama is a citizen. He holds a US passport. The only question is whether he is natural born or not.

FYI: A parent cannot renounce a minor's citizenship or have it taken away.

F. RENUNCIATION FOR MINOR CHILDREN--Parents cannot renounce U.S. citizenship on behalf of their minor children. Before an oath of renunciation will be administered under Section 349(a)(5) of the INA, a person under the age of eighteen must convince a U.S. diplomatic or consular officer that he/she fully understands the nature and consequences of the oath of renunciation, is not subject to duress or undue influence, and is voluntarily seeking to renounce his/her U.S. citizenship.
