WASHINGTON - A wide array of former top U.S. officials have urged President-elect Barack Obama to make the United Nations a close partner in confronting global threats and environmental challenges.

Former Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright and Warren Christopher and former Defence Secretaries Harold Brown and William Perry were among the signers of the statement.

It was issued by the UN Foundation and the Partnership for a Secure America, a bipartisan foreign-policy advocacy group.

Hardly a wide array...but definitely the usual globalists.

Why would we want to make the corrupt, American-hating United Nations, a "close partner"?

Does anybody else wonder why we still support the UN?

It tries to undermine the Constitution of the USA and
would love to cripple our Constitutional Republic.

In over 60 years No major politician has ever tried to
get the USA out of the UN.

16 out of 17 of the AMERICANS that were involved in
creating the U . N. were later identified, in sworn
testimony, as secret communist agents.

The first Secretary General was the AMERICAN Alger Hiss.
Alger Hiss served time in prison pursuant to his
involvement in a Communist spy ring.

Many of the other AMERICANS that were involved in creating
the UN fled the country, to avoid prosecution.

The ONE AMERICAN, that was involved in creating the UN and
was NOT later identified, in sworn testimony, as a secret
communist agent, was Dean Acheson.
Dean Acheson’s law firm was the legal representative of the Soviet Union, in US courts.

If the AMERICANS that were involved in creating the UN
were Communists, what do you think we got from the rest
of the world?

UN problems that need to be addressed: other countries get staff assignments based on patronage and who they are related too, what tribe they belong too and who they know, not merit. Americans and Isarelis do not do well with getting UN assignments and they blame both countries for everything wrong with the UN. UN employees get 30 day vacations automatically allocated from first day of employment, they work 30-35 hour weeks. They operate like it is 1946 at all of their missions with duplicate personnel and payroll and waste all kinds of money. And the UN is truly corrupt and I could give all kinds of examples of the UN corruption but it would hijack the list so I won’t and it is one of the slowest most inefficient bureacratic messes that exist making it far from user friendly for the “global citizen” and it is not a transparent entity. Its offspring the ICC is just like it. In these days of a global recession, the UN needs to make some major adaptions and come clean to get more of our funds and so does the ICC. All they look at is for is MONEY and they blame us for EVERYTHING.
