WXYZ) ABC News is reporting that House Democratic leaders have voted to strip Michigan Representative John Dingell of his chairmanship of the House Energy and Commerce committee.
The entire House Democratic caucus will have to vote on this tomorrow morning.
The secret ballot vote of the House steering committee was 25 to 22.
Dingell is the longest serving Democratic member of the House.
So what did the Dingell-berry do to pi$$ them off?
I guess green energy and the auto companies don’t mix. Someone suspects Dingell of having a conflict of interest, methinks. Of course, the entire dem party is a conflict of interest.....
but isn’t the new guy a Dem too?
and they expect DEMOCRATS to save them???
Definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over & over; expecting different results.
So now we get the demagogue Waxman. No offshore drilling, no new coal plants. Gas back to $3.00 by spring, $5.00 by July. Electric brownouts by 2010, rationing by 2011.
But what about Dingell-Norwood?
I thought Dingell was loved by all
He’s from Michigan. That seems to be the main qualification these days.
Dingell represents Ford’s district (Dearborn). He’s also pro-gun rights, believe it or not. Waxman hates the auto industry and that’s why he went after Dingell.
Michigan is on the decline in so many ways. Maybe with Obamanation in power the decline will happen faster so we can hit bottom faster and *hopefully* recover by voting the libs and dems OUT here.
SECRET ballot?
What? I thought a check on a card next to your name was all that was needed now?
“So what did the Dingell-berry do to pi$$ them off?”
No carbon trading. Waxman is big on carbon credit trading.
Dingell is reasonably pro-gun, though I believe he voted for the first AWB.
Waxman OTOH, is a fanatic anti-gunner. He’ll try to outlaw any bullet with any lead content via regulation. Whether he succeeds or not isn’t the issue right now - but Dingell would never do this. We’re going to have to waste time, money & effor to defeat him on this.
Junior is 83 days away from breaking the all-time record for the longest service in the House.
Several months ago Dingell said he would like to see a $.50 per gallon of gas increase in taxes in order to stir people into driving less.......and this was at the time when gas prices were at their highest.
I don't know if that had anything to do with it........
Darth Waxman Rises.
With Waxman, you can kiss 2 of the Big 3 goodbye. Chrysler will go first, then GM. Ford might make it.
Dingell just wasn’t quite leftist enough.
Why is this keyworded with Banglist?
Al Gore will not be happy.
