The message of the article is to fight hard. But conservatives can only win based on educating people and pointing out the truth about pertinent issues. Emotional hype and pulling heartstrings is best accomplished by liberals, who have no constraints as they do not worry about what is truly best for society. Conservatives can and will win if we expose them at every turn. We just need to do so properly, not emotionally. Otherwise, we're playing on their turf (and look every bit as foolish as they are, without the benefit that they have of a media that glosses over their every idiocy).

Reject Obamunism ... in all it’s forms.

What is Obamunism, as described in Obama’s book he supports a collectivist world view. For a definition of collectivists, just look up Communism.

America is a country of individuals, with freedoms, not a country of brain dead Democrat drones managed by the head collectivist.

Agreed.

And sadly, America will have to learn (relearn really) about libearalism the hard way too, and I have no problem with saying “I told you so”.

The difference between us and liberals is that we don’t worship slavishly of our politicians no matter what they do, e.g. Clinton, Obama.

We rightly praised Bush when he was right and we pummel him when he’s wrong. I don’t belong to a political cult.

“Our support of President Bush is linked first and foremost to policy.”

Which policy? Appointing or attempting to appoint family buddies with no qualifications to important office? Conspiring with the Mexican government to evade the immigration laws he took an oath of office to uphold?

I support Bush when his policies are correct and oppose him when they are not. So do Hannity and Mark Levin and other conservatives. You run that article implying that we should look at policy and not personality, then proceed to defend Bush on personality.

Sure, he was right to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. There were very good reasons for doing so. But Bush was totally incapable of conveying those reasons to the American public because he is the worst commincator I have ever seen in a higher political office. He can barely frame a paragraph. He was right to set up Guantanamo and use forceful methods to press terrorists to release vital information. His efforts to prevent another terrorist attack on American soil, his opposition to abortion and appointment of conservative judges are to be praised - although in some cases - Alitto - it was done under compulsion.

But his attempt to contract out with Dubai to run our ports, to appoint somebody with NO related qualification as head of FEMA, to replace Ashcroft with ALBERTO GONZALES, to refuse to take any steps to slow down the invasion of America by Mexican nationals, to oppose English as an official language, to switch his views on global warming, to pander to the Saudis, to persecute American border guards, to fail to acknowledge ISLAM as the root cause of terrorism, to ignore the plight of persecuted Christians in Islamic countries, to support a Democrat initiative to bail out corporations with $750 Billion of Taxpayer money with no apparent strings attached to make sure where that money went, to work towards a North American Union, all bespeak a man who is hardly a conservative and barely a Republican.

Why now, when the fruits of his flawed presidency have come to the fore in the form of an elected Marxist Isalmophile, is it suddenly necessary for Bushbots to come swarming out of the woodwork to defend this guy?

I despise what Bush has done to the Republican Party, to America and to the conservative movement by his many flaws.

Does that mean I am not a Conservative? Hardly. check my posts.

The less said about this man and his Presidency the better and the sooner he walks away from the Presidency into the pages of history the better off the Republican Party and the conservative movement will be.

Conservatives are forced with trying to take back those congressional seats Bush came to office enjoying, trying to decide whether or not the Republican Party is any longer an effective vehicle for promulgating traditional, patriotic ideas in the American political forum and finding a candidate to oppose Obama in 2012, not to mention figuring out an effective policy to handle the inevitable adverse fall-out of an Obama Presidency - a Presidency Bush's own record low popularity ratings helped create. We don't have the time or luxury and certainly shouldn't have the incliniation to rescue Dubya from his own actions and inactions.

He was an even WORSE President than his father. NO MORE BUSHES!!!!

The point is rather that as much as we were never worshipers of any politician, nor were/are we blind haters like liberals of them. What is despised is the sheer evil, stupidity and transfer of Obama burden on our shoulders, as well as us being threatened into making co-promises with liberals to murderers, terrorists, liars, thieves, communists, redistributionists and dangerous aborters and other assortment of creeps who will murder anyone disappointing them.

Let the electorate disappoint Obama, not us.

This article is absurd. It argues that Republicans fight with 1 arm tied behind their back. Liberals throw rhetorical grenades at us and we respond with well-reasoned and articulate arguments.

We ought to learn from how the Democrats relentlessly attack Bush— day after day after day. We on the right claimed that this would ‘back fire’.

It did ‘back fire’, at first. But after 8 years, it finally took its toll on Bush and the GOP brand.

We have to apply this strategy against the Democrats. It’s our only chance. Relentlessly attack them and hope we can wear down the Obama juggernaut.

Bush’s border policy is pretty effectively killing conservatives as a political force in the USA.
