If McCain stands up to the False Messiah and becomes a Conservative, he’ll deserve another term. In other words, he’s got to be something he isn’t. McCain may give him cover, in which case, replacing him with Butch won’t make any difference, since at least she openly declares herself a Democrat and can’t inflict maximum damage to the GOP from within.
