As a matter of fact, the CIA has already been working for the left, all through the Bush years. This certainly won’t improve matters, but it’s not much worse than the kinds of appointments Bush made in many areas. We could hardly expect Obama to do better than Bush.
Which is pretty sad.

I know that, and I've been highly critical of one of these two, but these aren't terrible, incompetant, hard left appointments. Not McCain's picks, probably. Jones is simply following orders in the West Bank, doing his job isn't a disqualifier, but Brennan is pro "torture", McCain wouldn't stand for that.
There'll be plenty of policy issues to disagree with, these appointments aren't worth it. At least they're competent for their jobs.

BTW, I’d have described Brennan as a Bush appointee too, but I’m not sure how the chairman of the National Counterterrorism Center, created by GWB, gets his job. Might be Congress, might be bipartisan.
