If they come in with a price cheaper or comparable with current insurance with portability, it will pass and much of the populace and business world will be on board with it.
And so it begins, the quick slide into socialism.
The man never had a good idea when his small brain actually worked. Now, we expect more?
“How much “health care” did Mary Jo get”?
...an excellent and really the ONLY point! A man that should be behind bars is writing a health care bill for 300 million people. We all must stand before God and answer to Him for our lives. It gives me some satisfaction to know that day is soon for Ted.
This will kill us off for sure.

Nationalized health care is becoming a mess in Europe and is not what it once was. I read, In England, because people used to have to wait a week or two for simple appointment, the government cracked down and said all appointments must be made within 24-48 hours. Because that was not possible, the doctors offices stopped taking appointments. Now the people wait all day to see the doctor.
With new technology and services since the 1970’s, care is more expensive and I do not think that a tax payers fund will cover the expenses involved. That is why many people still carry private insurance.
I’ve read stories about the problems throughout Europe, I am unfamiliar with Canada though.
More specifically, Senator Kennedy's proposed bill is in contempt of the following constitutional statutes.
Article I, Section 8, Clause 18: To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution (emphasis added) in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof. In fact, Thomas Jefferson, while reflecting on the Founder's division of federal and state government powers as evidenced by the 10th A., noted that the Founders had trusted the states, not the federal government, with the care of the people.10th Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
"Our citizens have wisely formed themselves into one nation as to others and several States as among themselves. To the united nation belong our external and mutual relations; to each State, severally, the care of our persons (emphasis added), our property, our reputation and religious freedom." --Thomas Jefferson: To Rhode Island Assembly, 1801. ME 10:262 http://tinyurl.com/onx4jBecause Congress wrongly makes bills based on nonexistent federal government powers all the time now, I'm glad that constitutionally clueless Obama will be president for the following reason. The people will be forced to reconnect with the Constitution and its history so that the people will be able to protect themselves from Socialist Obama's misguided pen.
It will work as well as the other great bill he authored...No Child Left Behind. I have 2 teachers in my Sunday School class and they complain they spend more time filling out paper work for the NCLB than they do actually teaching now.
We already have socialism. This is just the final nail in the coffin.

FREE MONEY AND HEALTHCARE FOR EVERYBODY!
We should get an ad out, show a woman who is terrified because she feels a lump and her mother and sister both had breast cancer. But the ultrasound didn’t show anything and so she doesn’t meet the criteria for a mammogram. She can be talking to someone about her fears and then face the reality. There’s nothing she can do, there’s no where she can go.
I say this because a woman was sitting next to my daughter when she went for her mammogram who had flown in from England. This exact scenario but one huge difference. She was able to fly to the U.S. and get a mammogram.

If I had loads of money, I would take it elsewhere.
