You have to get rid of the flawed premise of no WMDs before a correct diagnosis can be made.

The may have gotten help quicker had a certain General had a spine. The numbers don’t lie and the symptoms don’t either in that number. They’ve waited far too long in officially recognizing this. It’s time for congress to act and for once do what is right by our troops. This is one of the few things in DC that should be bipartisan.

I would like to hear from some GW 1 Vets on this. I can’t decide if this is MSM propaganda or a legit problem. I lean towards...propaganda.

All I have to say as a GW Vet, thank God it passed over me. Personally I think it's the DU dust from penetrator rounds.

The panel found two possible causes: a drug given to troops to protect against nerve gas, known as pyridostigmine bromide, and pesticides that were used heavily during the war.

I came down with Morgellons which I’m almost rid of after being exposed to heavy pesiticides, my guess is that is the cause .... (flame on flamers)

Theyve waited far too long in officially recognizing this. Totally correct. This reminds me of the sufferings of Australian Vietnam veterans, affected by "Agent Orange" (a form of pesticide). They waited years for recognition - it was even implied that they were making it up.

I wonder why they would have “used pesticides heavily during the war” ? in a desert? of course there are pests everywhere but this is the last place I would have thought they would have needed them.

The pesticides I referred to were in the Vietnam war - Gulf War syndrome would be caused by other factors. Sorry for the confusion.

With any “luck” at all, GWS will do the same for you as Agent Orange did for us: Designation as a Certified Victim, half a forest worth of newspaper sobstories and grand-sounding Congressional bills, followed by a horde of new GS-12’s who will stonewall effective treatment until you either die or just decide to quit the waste of damn time.

The info in post 10 would likely mean autoimmune disorders. That could mean anything from anxiety {secondary to a primary disorder} to a M.S. type of disorder called Transverse Myelitis that strips the mylan nerve sheaves. {sorry for spelling errors} Just guessing but it would naturally effect an individuals weakest point in their own body. Meaning not the same symptoms in all it hits.
