Well goodness, you don't know? The buggers charge money there! Bloody un-neighborly of them!
Liberalism is all about making life better for the disfunctional, the perverted, the thieves, the lazy, addicted, the dregs of society. At the same time it makes life harder for the productive law abiding citizens. The strangest thing is that the productive folks accept this and even vote for it instead of rioting because of it. Western society is being deconstructed by the libs and no one dares object.
I brought a jar of gypsy tears to protect me from foreclosure.
This happens in the US, already! Don’t believe me, look up Hawaii Housing Authority v. Midkiff ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawaii_Housing_Authority_v._Midkiff ).
The forced sale of private land to non-land owners. Read this case and you’ll wonder why everyone was so surprised by the Kelo Decision.
Tinkering with property rights.
Was that a pun? If so, I salute you sir...
This would be more pertinent if what was described in the article was actually happening. In reality, almost the reverse is the case. Almost all attempts by gypsies to establish permanent sites fail because they're refused planning permission by the local council, in response to objections by permanent residents. Not all the daft policy kites highlighted in media alerts like this actually happen, and checks and balances between daft policy and common-sense administration do still often work.
But if they had permanent sites, they wouldnt be gypsies..
The phrase permanent sites for gypsies seems like an oyxmoron to me...
Permanent site, transient occupancy. Gypsies often like to stay in a particular area for the same few weeks every year.
Why cant the gypsies just buy their own parking lots for their caravans?
They frequently do, but are then refused planning permission to use them for this purpose (see above)
Dont they have RV parks and campsites in the UK and how come the gypsies dont use them if they do?
No gypsy would be seen dead in a commercial caravan park - and wouldn't be let in anyway.
'twas.
