The evening was clear and warm.
The sound and the visuals combined to motivate me in a great feeling of pride in our country and our technical abilities.

Yet for me a great sadness as I realize that is the last night launch of manned spaceflight I will see for a long, long time under the current and forecast plans for NASA.
