Completely off topic: why does he stick an apostrophe in Hawaii?
EEWWWWW
Because that is the correct Hawaiian spelling - and my screen name should be Kaua’ibound.
Have you looked up this guy Andy Martin he is a who’s who in litigation. He is a quack!
The apostrophe is to show a "hiccup" in the native pronunciation of Hawaiian words. The word isn't pronounced Hah-why-yeeeethe last syllable is more explosive, pronounced like Hah-wha-IH!. Those corrective changes were made sometime in the 80s.
Off Lanikai Beach is "Rabbit Island". It now has a different, native, name. (I grew up in the Territory of Hawaii). :)
I suspect that al Qaida is spelled al Qaeda by the Brits to compensate for one of those "hiccup-apostrophes" that should appearas al Qa'da.
“..why does he stick an apostrophe in Hawaii?”
Because using the glottal stop here is the correct spelling.
