I am seriously thinking of taking to steps to go to a survivalist approach planning to survuve total chaos and financial and institutional break down.

if they are still accessible, there were lots of Y2-K threads back in 1999 that gave great advice on how to prepare for the inevitibale breakdown in society.

You might be able to purchase a lot of MRE's and other stuff for pennies on the dollor from those folks who still have them in their basements............
