There is a certain eloquence to plain-spoken, common sense politicians instead of glib, pretentious, calculated pander-speak politicians who play to the George Will/Peggy Noonan-wing of the GOP.
Truman was HARDLY "ARTICULATE:; neither was Nixon or LBJ or our 1st RINO-in-Chief, George H. Bush.
