The problem is with that it will be an open door for the Obamster to absorb the 1/2 million people covered by these cost on the Federal dole while the VEBA which kicks in 2010 will pass these cost off to the UAW. Hence the bridge loans to get their. But that is a mute point, it has gotten lost so many time in the discussion in the last three weeks it isn't funny. BTW I believe Ford has been making periodic payments to the VEBA and either has 1 or 4 payments left to go.
