I said the same thing on FR a year or so ago and got condescension, but I agree with you. Incessant consumption is not a conservative value.

Funny how things change. Things that I said on this forum 4 years ago about the GOP would result in an instant flame war, with me being the kindling. Now when I say pretty much the same thing, it’s considered as something bordering on conventional wisdom.
