Not at all. But Christians have no right to take up arms against gays, no matter how violent it gets. Yet I heard a preacher say this very thing. Making a law against homosexuality is not going to make the sin of it go away; Christians have the duty to God to preach the word to gays, not make them mortal enemies. Paul wrote that “such were some of you” about gays in the early church; we have no right to judge them, they “know not what they do” if you know what I mean. My personal concern is how do I witness to the gay people in my life with all this hatred?

If Mormons were Christians, they would offer up the way to help these rank sinners out of their sin instead of insisting that a law is the “righteous” way to deal with them... and Mormons have no right to talk, considering the lack of reverence towards Marriage that their founders preached.

That said, if gays want civil ceremonies no problem but there are tax and legal reasons for Prop 8 that I of course agree with. The ironic thing about it all is that polygamy could be made legal if Prop 8 didn’t pass!

What is so hard to believe here? We're on the same side. Be glad for it for once. Whether we disagree on other things is currently irrelevant. Religion in general is being attacked here. Gays are demanding the ability to dictate to organized religion through intimidation, threats and violence, what is and is not acceptable theology. Do you want them to have that kind of power? We want the same thing here, don't we? So let's drop the angry "they're not Christian" stuff and work together on this one, doesn't that make sense?
