Someone trying to drive up their own sales maybe, because it really isn't happening according to a story posted here.
Gun Shows all over the country are selling briskly.
Friend in Montana says everyone there is getting more guns and lots more ammo.
I went to the Washington Arms Collectors gun show in Monroe, Washington state last weekend. UNBELIEVABLE how busy it was. I saw more people buying assault rifles and tins (500 to 1000 rounds++) - not boxes - of ammunition than I have ever seen and Ive been going to these shows since the -80s. One ammo dealer in particular (www.surplusammo.com) was the busiest table in the house. He told me he sold out of many thousands of rounds of 7.62X39 within an hour of opening. When I came by about 2-1/2 hours after opening, he was down to less than 2000 rounds of 9 mm and he expected them to be gone within 30 minutes at the rate they were selling. Similar with the .223 and .45 ammo. Thousands of rounds of 7.62X54 selling too. Two guys working the table and they were RUNNING working to take care of every customer. It was two people deep most of the time.
The line at the counter to join the club was longer than Ive seen it in a LONG time. I cant wait to hear if membership is spiking. The NRA table had more people at it too. Probably people joining there, but then I bet most people already belong. If you dont , join now.
