Please, as my Auto Engr contact tells me with the amount of folks that have already taken early separation "packages" with the big three, these are effectively a mute point.

Has management's attititude changed? The union's? If not, then the point ain't moot.

It's not the management as much as the culture.

I can't speak for GM.

I used to to think Waggoner was a toad, but watching him trying to turn GM around will all the constraints, I have to say he is better than I thought.

As far as Ford Mgt, They got the guy Boeing past over and IMHO was a stupid move and it was Ford's gain.

Mulally (Ford's new CEO) is changing the culture from what my gnomes tell me. (He is leading and accepting no roadblocks) Little things that I can't get into here.....

The Unions? Your guess is as good as mine....
