Carbon Canyon is gettin dangerous for the FF and nearby homes. Lots of fuel to burn up there.

Air is clear here in Redlands, slight breeze. Moon just past being full.

I wasn’t around in 1961 so I can’t comment on the Bel Air fire. This one appears to be the grand mac daddy of fires now. The old timers said Malibu was the last time for a firestorm like this.

I was a young child in 1960. I remember moving into our new home here in L.A. that year. The hills above us were on fire we lived less than one block away from them in Burbank. I thought we were going to burn to death and die. I had nightmares. It was scary. Something my sister and myself never forgot.
