Fire Forces Evacuations, Burns Homes in Sylmar Area
Sayre Fire is near the 210 Freeway in Northern Los Angeles.
A dangerous, fast-moving brush fire in the Sylmar section of the San Fernando Valley, spread by gusting 50 mph winds has now burned at least five homes and is threatening several more, City Fire Department spokesperson Melissa Kelly said today.
So far there are no reports of injuries to residents or fire personnel, said Kelly.
The blaze ignited about 10:30 p.m. in the dry, brushy hills above 13000 W. Sayre Street near Shablow Ave, and has so far consumed more than 500 acres.

According to Ken Vecchiarelli the Director Yorba Linda Water District, the Hidden Hills area of Yorba Linda has lost its water. The water pump station burned and is no longer functional. Trying to bring a replacement pump up from Laguna Hills canyon. Absolutely unbelievable and uncontrollable.
Fox is reporting 500 mobile homes gone in Sylmar. Scores of homes going up right now in Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills
Don't recall seeing any big water tanks in the hills above Yorba Linda from the 91 freeway. Apparently they were using multiple three stage pumping stations.

The Coroner command post has rolled up to the mobile home park....I bet they are setting up those giant tents like during the Metrolink crash.
We’re gonna lose most of the air attack in the next hour. Gonna get ugly.
LA Co Helo #17 heading to Little Tijunga
This is starting to become very suspicious. National news not carrying this worth a crap.

Oh my gosh, my eyes are stinging and our glass table outside is coated with ash. My lungs feel like they are full of tobacco and I don’t smoke. Well, I guess today we all are smokers.
Glad you can breathe there — take a deep breath for me! We must be in the line of the smoke rushing to the sea.
Boy...
I can SEE when a new building goes up, but thank G-d the smoke’s moving away from me.
Why don’t you load up the crew & come on down...and breath! ;)
No mention of Perris or Loma Linda on local news either that I’ve seen.
I got up on the roof for a look see west to Loma Linda and I can’t see any smoke headers. I’m about 5 miles east of LL as the crow flies.
Live stream for those who can’t get any news on Fox.

Perris~ Loma Linda? new fires? Can't keep up here...
Newhall pass has fire now too
Almost a full moon rising after 7pm. Some speculation there might be enough light for certain aircraft, but very if'y due to smoke, wind ect. I'd bet they won't chance it.
