I am aware that all Hawaii Health Department officials serve at the pleasure of Governor Lingle and that Chiyome Fukino, MD was appointed to her position as Hawaii’s Health Department Director in 2002 by Governor Lingle.
I have no knowledge of Dr. Fukino’s past associations.
