Yes Drew, I do remember that our massive protest in front of the County Court House kept Gore from stealing the election from Pres. George W Bush.
As the weeks rolled by the signs changed from Bush won Twice, to Bush won Thrice. You just kept recounting, and trying to find more votes in the democratic strongholds, but it did not work.
You obviously were on the Gore side and don’t see it that way.
By the why, after the MSM recounted every vote (NYT & others) Bush won for the FIFTH time and with the largest margin of the other recounts in the state of Florida.
This time it isn't the Democrats who are trying to steal an election.
Why is it such a surprise to people that our side was so soundly beaten? The overall consensus was that the Republican Party abandoned its conservative message as it became drunk on power, spending money on new entitlement programs and acting like Democrats? Bush-fatigue had long set in and the outrage on this forum when McCain got the nod was deafening!
And then our guy loses. Surprise, surprise. We've been saying the whole time that Republicans have blown it and now we're angry they didn't win? So people are scrambling, grasping at straws, anything to keep Obama out of the White House. Guess what? The voters spoke very clearly on November 4th.
