Anybody have any idea why the sale of marijuana is profitable enough to cause the Mexicans to plant it in our national parks?
Well, you see, here you can grow and distribute illegal contraband AND receive tax credits, food stamps, free health care and SS once you retire.
Mexico on the other hand...
Supply and demand. As long as there is a demand, there will be a supply. The sellers set the price so long as sales continue.
As far as profitiablity, it is because it is illegal.
And if you GROW it in the U.S., you don’t have to risk getting caught at the border.
And U.S. National Parks are large, uninhabited and largely unpatrolled. You can’t just grow that stuff in a corn field by the side of the highway (see “illegal”, above).
